- A wig install involves prepping your natural hair (braiding/flattening), securing it with a wig cap/grip, placing and fitting the wig, cutting the lace, applying adhesive (glue/tape) in layers to your hairline/cap, pressing the wig onto the glue, and finally styling/blending for a natural look, often using mousse, wax, o hot comb
